ArtByFire gives its hearts to Japan | Arts & Culture
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Leonard and Renee Pound, owners of Issaquah's ArtByFire gallery and glass school, are giving their hearts to Japan – glass hearts that is!
The glass artists are volunteering their time and selling beautiful glass hearts for Japan, donating 100 percent of the proceeds to Save the Children, an organization caring for families in Japan.
“These glass hearts symbolize the united nature of mankind during times of tragedy and need,” Renee said. "We hope you will support our effort in the spirit that they were made."
"By doing selling the heart we can promote awareness, get more people involved," Leonard said. "God knows they need as much help as they can get."
The hearts cost $28 and can be purchased in person or ordered over the phone by calling (425) 996-8867. ArtByFire has already sold a dozen hearts in just one hour.
