Steel beam to top new Swedish Issaquah hospital goes into place on Friday | Business
A milestone in the construction of the new Swedish Hospital on Blakely drive will be reached on Friday, as the steel beam that will top the West Tower will be put into place.
After being signed by all of the construction workers and hospital officials, the beam will be lifted into place sometime after 11:45 a.m. The project is still on track to open in July of 2011.
Officials at Swedish say that once finished, it’ll be the first hospital built in King County in 25 years.
